When I reached the fifty day mark two days ago, I knew I definitely had something to write about! I’m excited about being tobacco free this long, for the first time in my life.

During the past month, I realized a few differences in my view of smoking. First of all, I’m surprised at the number of people I see smoking, standing outside of businesses on their break, outside of stores, even outside of the gym! I know that the majority of people who smoke really want to quit but just don’t know how (one statistic I read said this number was as high as 70%!). When I first started the process to quit smoking, I was scared. Scared of failure, scared that the product I was using would fail me, afraid that I wouldn’t have enough determination to follow through. I think I eventually came to a place, that made me willing to try to quit, when I was MORE SCARED OF DYING as a result of using tobacco products and getting cancer. Now, I’m shocked at the number of people that are still smoking when there are safer, healthier alternatives.

When I started using The Safe Cig electronic cigarette, I wondered if I would be able to stick with it and not be tempted by my old Marlboros. It only took about three to four days for me to adjust to The Safe Cig. It only took those few days for me to start seeing a difference physically. At that point, I realized that using an electronic cigarette really didn’t involve a huge amount of dedication. I became MORE comfortable using The Safe Cig than I had been while using tobacco products. My chest isn’t tight anymore, I can breathe freely, I’m no longer congested and coughing all the time, I have more energy, and my body definitely processes oxygen better. I’M HEALTHIER AND I’VE SAVED $400 IN 52 DAYS (vs. continuing to buy tobacco cigarettes)!!

I was visiting a friend the other day who still smokes and realized that I really can’t stand the smell of cigarettes anymore, and when I left her house, I stunk like an ashtray. That nasty smell is another thing I really don’t miss at all. I’ve shared my experience, using The Safe Cig, with a few of my friends who still smoke. It amazes me that they all want to quit smoking, but when it comes right down to it, they think it’s an impossible goal to reach. There was no self sacrifice when I started using The Safe Cig. I didn’t sit and crave cigarettes every ten minutes. The first couple days were days I had to adjust to using this little electronic gadget, but I didn’t ever reach the panic that I’d thought would happen- I didn’t have to make that mad dash to the store for cigarettes like I’d pictured. It’s not as hard as I made it out to be, and with The Safe Cig, it wasn’t difficult at all. I’d like to see more people try these products, so that they too can see that The Safe Cig makes it comfortable and possible to quit, no matter how long you’ve smoked. It’s made a huge difference in my life, and it can in yours too!

It’s now been 27 days since I began using The Safe Cig and I’m so excited about the fact that I’m still tobacco free! In a way it’s comical, I look at people when I see them holding a cigarette outside of the local store, and I have trouble relating. It’s amazing how the human brain works, how quickly it allows us to unlearn a habit. After all of those years I spent smoking, I don’t HAVE to reach for my pack of Marlboro’s first thing every morning, then go racing outside to have one. What I do is this: Carry on my daily life, fitting so many more things into each day, and I use the Safe Cig WHILE I’m going through my daily life, no matter where I am.

There were a few times that I’ve been out to lunch with a family member and excused myself to the restroom to use The Safe Cig. In the past, that never would have happened because my smoking was offensive to my family, so what I did was simply panic the entire time I was out with one of them, or completely avoid the activity in the first place. What I’m trying to share with you is a simple fact- using The Safe Cig is convenient no matter where you are. I continue to be conscientious of other people’s feelings, I don’t use The Safe Cig around someone when I know that the act of smoking offends them. I AM, however, totally capable of excusing myself and using it in a private place, and I’m not bothering anyone in the process. Just the convenience alone is worth quitting smoking.

I continue to be impressed with The Safe Cig. It’s been working great for me for the better part of a month, which is longer than any other nicotine replacement method I’ve tried. When I used nicotine gum, I immediately wanted to quit chewing gum period, it tasted so bad. Nicotine patches irritated my skin and also caused insomnia. The lozenges tasted terrible and burned my tongue. Nothing else has ever worked as long or well for me as The Safe Cig. I encourage any and every smoker to try it. After all, with a money back guarantee, lifetime warranty and free shipping, what could you possibly lose (other than the habit)? ;)

Here are a few facts and statistics that I found while surfing the web:

“Every year, tobacco use kills more Americans than World War II and the Vietnam War combined. Tobacco related illnesses kill 440,000 US citizens per year.” (Centers for Disease Control. Cigarette Smoking Among Adults-United States, 2001. MMRW 2003; 52(40); 953-956.)

“Tobacco is the only product in the U.S. that causes death and disability when used as intended – the single, most preventable cause of death in the U.S. ” (National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention & Health Promotion)

“Many diseases are linked to tobacco and nicotine: cardiovascular disease, stroke, lung cancer, cancer of the kidney, cancer of the larynx and head and neck, breast cancer.” (The Burden of Tobacco, Univ. of Medicine & Dentistry New Jersey, March 2005)

“There are over 4,000 chemicals in tobacco smoke.” (The Burden of Tobacco, Univ. of Medicine & Dentistry New Jersey, March 2005)

“The EPA ranks secondhand smoke in the same harmful category as asbestos, radon and benezene. It is also a major cause of children’s illness – yet 85% of adults who smoke and who live with a child do not ensure that the child is not exposed to the smoke from their cigarettes.”

“Each year, nearly 35 million people make a concerted effort to quit smoking. Less than 7% succeed in abstaining for more than a year – most start smoking again within days.” (The Search For A Safe Cigarette, NOVA (PBS), October 2001)

The sites that I looked at stated that nearly 90% of men with lung cancer and 80% of women were either currently smokers or had been for an extended period throughout their lifetime. I also found that tobacco use is expected to claim one billion lives this century.

These facts are absolutely staggering! It’s mind blowing to think that such a large number of people will die from tobacco addiction and that there are safer alternatives. Given these statistics there are a few things that I can guarantee:

ALL tobacco products will harm you.

You can have freedom from tobacco

You can overcome addiction to tobacco products.

There are alternatives to tobacco addiction that can save your life.

You can have a better way of life by eliminating tobacco.

The risk is not in trying to quit- the risk is in continuing to use tobacco. If this is your first time to this blog, you can read my experience during my The Safe Cig review from the beginning and learn about the smokeless, tobacco-free electronic cigarette.

Alright folks, I’m at the end of day 22 with no tobacco use- let me share with all of you who are still a slave to those cigarettes- IT’S NOT DIFFICULT TO QUIT TOBACCO USING THE SAFE CIG.

The most difficult part of quitting smoking is fear of the unknown. I remember that familiar old feeling of panic when I knew I was getting down to my last few cigarettes and thinking about how I should schedule those last few. Should I only smoke one tonight and save the rest for morning, or should I just make a quick trip to the store right now? That may be a question that you, as a smoker, are familiar with. I can speak from experience on both sides of this fence. I made many late night trips to the store solely for that pack of cigarettes. I was a slave to my addiction to tobacco for more years than I was tobacco free in my lifetime. I can’t believe that I made it so hard to quit.

Using The Safe Cig has given me freedom from more than just tobacco! I’ve begun to build confidence in the fact that this tiny little electronic cigarette is a huge sign of hope and freedom. I CAN quit smoking. At this point I’d like to say with confidence that I HAVE quit smoking. I am determined to be tobacco free for the rest of my life and that fact alone has given me a new perspective on life. I no longer live in fear that I’m slowly killing myself. I don’t worry that my breath offends people. I know with certainty that my clothes don’t stink like smoke and I’m not carrying around the evidence of a terrible habit that truly bothers other people.

The Safe Cig has worked for many other smokers to free them from this awful habit and it can work for you. The main thing that any smoker needs to concentrate on is that they too can quit with The Safe Cig. There is a way, it’s not difficult, and it does work. I’m living proof. If there is one small bit of advice that I could share with anyone who’s still using tobacco it’s this: Stop doubting yourself, stop being afraid to try the one thing that will work. It will change your life and give you a healthier future.

If you’re still on the fence and haven’t checked it out, please go now to The Safe Cig. It will be the best thing you’ve ever done for yourself.

At the time that my son was in first grade he became aware that smoking is bad for you. From age 5 and forward, he was aware of the health risks and continuously asked me to stop smoking. His perception was that I would light a “bad cigarette” and fall over dead on the spot. He knew that smoking caused heart attacks, strokes, and cancer from things that he was taught at school, and also different things he’d picked up in society or on TV.

There were times that I’d tell him, “Buddy, mom’s going outside to smoke quick,” and he would look like he was literally holding his breath from the time that I walked outside until I returned safely after that cigarette. He told me recently that he’s worried about my smoking ever since he can remember. One of the questions that he used to ask me was- “Mom, don’t you want to be here to see me grow up?”

There is no convincing way to explain to a child that when a person is addicted to cigarettes it NEVER feels like a choice to go without one. It doesn’t feel like the option is there to quit smoking. That addiction controls your day, every single day. I remember smoking being the very first thing that I did when I woke up, and the last thing that I did before going to bed every single day for years. How do you tell your child that you’ve given up hope of ever finding a way to stop smoking?

My son and I sat down and talked when I started using The Safe Cig. I told him that I was going to try using a new product that I’d heard about so that I could finally quit that nasty habit. He was overjoyed, and I became very determined.

At this point, my son tells me he’s so proud of me for not smoking cigarettes, he’s happy that I’m no longer killing myself daily with tobacco, and he’s also glad that I no longer have that “cigarette stink” as he calls it. I’m ecstatic about not spending all the money I used to on smoking, I don’t have that odor on my clothing or in my hair, and I’ve finally found something that works!

I’ve reached the three week mark. Twenty one whole days and no cigarettes. For me this feels like a miracle. For my son, it feels like a brand new future.

Today was a bit of a stressful day for me and that same old desire that I used to have while smoking cigarettes kicked right in. I wanted to chain smoke. There were a few major differences between using The Safe Cig and smoking my favorite old Marlboros that I noticed today.

Studies show that when nicotine is inhaled it reaches the brain by way of our bloodstream in mere seconds after we inhale it, causing the release of chemicals that cause a feeling of euphoria or pleasure. Our adrenal glands receive this dose of nicotine releasing adrenaline to our system and acting as a stimulant. Nicotine in large quantities tends to inhibit or block those same chemical responses that our body experiences which then creates a chemically induced calming effect.

The most notable difference that stood out to me today was this: I was able to step back from the situation that was causing my increased stress and just lay back on my bed, using my Safe Cig in a non-smoking home. I did not continue to experience the desire to “chain smoke” in the same way that I had in the past while smoking tobacco cigarettes. This was partially due to the fact that I was already in a comfortable setting where I usually find the most relaxation. Although I did use The Safe Cig more today than I do on average, I was still satisfied and relaxed much more quickly than in the many years that I have picked that pack of Marlboros up when I faced similar feelings of anxiety.

Other added bonuses were: although I did use The Safe Cig more than usual, my lungs are still clear, my throat isn’t sore, and I didn’t waste an additional $8.50 or more by having to purchase an extra pack of smokes in order to get through the unpleasant events that I was facing. My self confidence was through the roof! I realized that I really have found something that will work for me in any situation and I lost all doubt of The Safe Cig becoming another failed attempt to quit smoking.

I am amazed simply by the fact that over nineteen days, I have saved $140 by not purchasing cigarettes and using electronic nicotine replacement. I didn’t even factor in the time that I used to spend driving to the store to buy cigarettes, or the gas money spent in getting there! Those facts alone speak volumes but in parting for the day, let me also add that I’ve lost ten pounds since I quit smoking which I mainly contribute to my increased energy level.

If this is your first time to my blog, I encourage you to read my electronic cigarette review from the beginning. And please, share my story with your friends and family!

Eighteen days of using The Safe Cig and I’m completely amazed at the results. I’ve never been as satisfied with a nicotine replacement method, or used one that was this effective. My cravings for tobacco have completely diminished, which even surprised me, I’ve been let down so many times by failed attempts and ineffective alternatives that I truly began using The Safe Cig with no high hopes or expectations.

At this point in the past, using any other quitting smoking aid, I’d usually given up. Nothing has worked this well for me in the past for this length. I am completely convinced that this method will eliminate tobacco cigarettes from my life completely. After almost seventeen years, thirteen of which I’ve attempting to quit, empty promises from companies that guaranteed that their products would work, and repeated disappointment from failed attempts, I’ve found the method that works for me. I couldn’t be more pleased. I honestly wish that more people knew about this product and would try it.

One thing that I was impressed by the most when I was introduced to information about The Safe Cig was that this product was not marketed as a “stop smoking aid.” The main thing that was really stated was that The Safe Cig would help smokers become healthier because they could eliminate tobacco from their daily life as well as the consumption of all of the deadly carcinogens found in cigarettes. I can honestly tell you that this product did EXACTLY what I was told AND MORE!

I will continue to update you as to how the product is working for me, but I know without a doubt that it’s the first and only product that has consistently done what I was told it would, and I’m becoming healthier every day as my body recovers from the years of poison that tobacco was putting into my body.

Since the twentieth of March, when I began using the safe cig product, I’ve made remarkable progress.

I began by using the 18 mg atomized “filters” and expected to use one per day, as I had been smoking one pack or more of normal Marlboro brand cigarettes. Today was my 14th day of using this product. I had no intention of trying to reduce my nicotine intake while adjusting to The Safe Cig, but as of today, have used 7 of the full strength atomizers. This equates to seven packs over a fourteen day period. This also means that I’ve been able not only to cut tobacco completely out of my life during this time, but I’ve also reduced my nicotine consumption by half in this short time period.

Quite a few times in the past week I’ve found myself craving nicotine while I was in a public place. Although I know that I can legally use the safe cig in places where smoking is prohibited, most times, I politely excused myself to a more private place (sometimes the restroom) and conveniently took a few drags and was completely satisfied. What a relief to be able to satisfy those cravings with no inconvenience to whomever I was spending time with. There’s nothing that bothers a non smoker more than to be in an enclosed area with the smell of cigarettes forced upon them.

Overall, my experience so far has even surprised me! I’ve never been able to use a nicotine replacement system with the 100% satisfaction that I’ve had using this product. I’d recommend it to ANYONE who smokes- whether their intention is to quit smoking, that they just have normal health concerns that go along with using tobacco and know the health risks, or for a smoker who finds the cost of their habit is astronomically expensive as time goes by. Every smoker should consider using this product- it has so many different benefits without losing the satisfaction of smoking.

My lungs aren't as tight, my voice isn't as raspy, and I can feel my blood circulating better. I've also saved over $60 this week just by making the switch.

On day four I began to breath easier, more deeply, and I felt as though I had more energy. The more I’ve researched in the past week, I found scientific proof that supported what I was experiencing. My oxygen levels have begun to increase. The tightness in my chest and lungs from congestion has eased and I am able to take deeper breaths. I don’t feel lethargic like I did after I used to smoke. My voice is becoming less raspy. I don’t cough in the morning when I first wake up, and my constant “smoker’s cough” has begun to go away.

By the sixth day I began to notice that my hands and feet were getting better blood circulation. Smoking causes poor circulation, but in addition, I have struggled for years with a circulatory condition that restricts my blood flow- mainly to my hands and my feet. When my doctor first noticed the lack of circulation, years ago, his first treatment recommendation was, of course, stop smoking. It sounded good, although for me it really wasn’t a reality at the time. The Safe Cig has allowed me to cut smoking cigarettes out of my life entirely, and improve my health as a result.

Day Eight: I need to note that my budget got adjusted this afternoon. As I mentioned in my first blog, I was routinely smoking a pack to a pack and a half a day.

I’ve saved $60 in the past week, just by using The Safe Cig and not spending $8.50 a day per pack. I used a total of four atomizers over the past eight days.

I plan to continue using the same strength atomizer (18mg) for approximately the next 1 – 2 weeks and then I’ll begin to lower my nicotine level from there. I jokingly said to a friend of mine this past week that I don’t really mind the nicotine addiction, it’s smoking tobacco that causes cancer. I also need to note that although food DOES taste better, my appetite hasn’t increased, and I haven’t gained any weight as a result of not smoking tobacco. This was a concern of mine each time that I’ve attempted to quit smoking. In my thinking, if nicotine reduces my appetite, and not smoking has raised my energy level, it is completely possible to use this system and lose weight at the same time.

More to come, so stay tuned! You can check out The Safe Cig here for yourself.

By the third day of using The Safe Cig, I realized that some of my daily routines would have to change if I wanted to be successful. I could no longer take a step away from whatever my activity was to take that “smoke break” outside. This was a little challenging because that change of scene had become so big a part of my routines. Each time I used The Safe Cig, I didn’t feel the complete satisfaction that I had while stepping outside to smoke. What I did was concentrate on the additional time that I had at whatever project I was working on, and made an effort to appreciate the added convenience of being able to smoke while staying focused on those projects. Within a day or two, I was able to fully adjust to my new routine, and really put that extra time to use!

I began placing The Safe Cig near my bedside so I could take a few drags right when I woke up each morning, before that morning coffee, because I didn’t want to start craving cigarettes before my day even started. I found that if I used The Safe Cig BEFORE meals, I didn’t have as much of an urge to smoke after them. The first couple days were a bit of a struggle, but not as difficult as it had been when I had tried other nicotine replacement products.

I do want to mention the differences that I noticed right at the beginning between The Safe Cig and some of the nicotine replacement products that I just mentioned. I tried using the nicotine patch for over a month. I had trouble falling asleep because I was getting a steady dose of nicotine into my blood stream at times that my body just wasn’t used to. I felt extremely agitated at night, then very tired in the morning while I was using this method. I have times during the day when I smoke more, so there were quite a few days that I would end up cheating and have one or two cigarettes IN ADDITION to wearing the patch.

I also tried chewing nicotine gum. By the time I felt myself craving a cigarette while chewing the gum, it was just too late. This system just didn’t deliver the nicotine to my blood stream while my cravings were still manageable. The method that I’ve found to be most effective out of the three has been the safe cig up to this point. I get the amount of nicotine that I need and its affect, very quickly, on my own schedule.

Days Four through Eight will be posted tomorrow so be sure to check back!
